Top 10 Sites for information

Here is a list of the Top 10 sites I use, and I find helpful in everything that an artist of any style can use to get information on the Entertainment Industry. 

#1 http://www.allaccess.com  This link will help you keep up with the fast changing world of radio records and media. This site is the best source for all of your entertainment needs for radio - records - management agencies - lawyers - consultants - and especially dedicated to you if you are gearing towards the musical side of entertainment. There is a data base that is out of this world that can help you find anyone in the industry under the industry section. This site is free of charge, however, you do have to register your name to be a member. If you are seeking any other form of entertainment, I still suggest you visit this site and scope out the industry links. These links offer company names and management firms that handle all forms of Entertainment, IE agencies like the Firm, that handle modeling, artist management, and consultancy. 

#2 http://www.drudgereport.com  Attn: Writers, Journalists, Reporters etc........ This link will take you to pages that will help you find every major written source in the country. The Hollywood Reporter / News Papers / Magazines / Music and Entertainment News / and all of the written information you need on a daily basis to keep up with Entertainment. This site is the second most important site on my list, because it will help you find writers all over the world, give you the best publications, and give you the tools you need to learn, all on one page. The easiest way to become the world's best writer / reporter / journalist; is to study them and read their work.

#3 www.thecastingcall.com posting entertainment jobs for all of the following: Casting Directors, Production Companies, Modeling Agencies, Management Companies, Talent Agents, Student Film Makers, Radio Stations, Record Labels, Promotional Modeling Companies, Reality TV Producers, Fashion & Editorial Magazines, Comedy Clubs, Dance Studios, Theatres, Vegas Shows and more...to talent in 50 major cities across the U.S.

#4 http://www.sag.org/sagWebApp/index.jsp  The Screen Actors Guild site ! If you are looking to get into the acting / modeling / film / management side of the business that has anything to do with film, this site offers you the most up to date incredible information. Sag also offers the most complete training for actors that is provided anywhere in the world. Lastly, this site will post warnings to actors / producers / writers / etc...... such as this posting :

Los Angeles (December 17, 2004) --- In an effort to protect our members and those performers who haven't joined our union yet, Screen Actors Guild would like all actors to be aware of a Nevada corporation representing itself as a labor union. The "Motion Picture Actors Guild of America" has sent letters to agents, managers and casting directors claiming to be "exactly like Screen Actors Guild." This organization is headed by the same individual who is currently engaged in frivolous litigation against SAG. Screen Actors Guild is the exclusive collective bargaining representative for theatrical films and, along with its sister union AFTRA, virtually all television productions. The Guild strongly encourages anyone thinking of joining the "MPAGA" to use caution and fully investigate the entity before entrusting any money to it. SAG members are reminded of their obligation to comply with Rule One and to work only for producers who are signatory to a SAG agreement.

#5 http://www.aftra.org/aftra/aftra.htm  The American Federation of Television and Radio Artists AFTRA ..... Sister company to SAG. If you are seeking Journalism, Music, TV, or Radio as a career, you may want to read about information this site has to offer. If you want to produce commercials, voice commercials, or side work that is related, I also engcourage you to get information on this site.   

#6 http://www.craigslist.org  This site offers you the worlds largest bulletin board at your fingertips. Craig Newmark, the mind behind this site created it with one thing in mind.... TO HELP PEOPLE, and as an up and coming artist, that is what you should always be looking for in getting answers to question you have. The information you can get on this site is so intense because it covers the world. If your an artist looking for an artist, musicians, tv , film, auditions, all the way to meeting new people in general, this is the spot on the net you must visit.

#9 http://www.google.com  Attn: future Models - P@R reps - Agents - Entertainment backbone positions of all sorts can be researched on line by using these next two services ! 

this search engine will help you locate any specific person, place , or thing you need to research on line. For instance, if your looking for a Tour Manager in London, you would type that in, Artist management in London England, and the search engine would bring up anything of that nature. Number 5 below is almost the same, however, I suggest Google first, it seems to offer better information.

I suggest that you use search engines for people and companies to, this way you can research if someone is who they say they are, and researching companies as well can show you what each company has done.
