Right Place at the Right Time with Michelle Mock !
____________________________________________

Michelle Mock ( Casting Director ) for " Top Model " was recently in my hometown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, doing a casting call at a local club called Da Jungle Nightclub, 608 N. Broadway.

As stated in an interview, not always is a casting director just waiting for talent in LA and NY.... As a matter of fact, that is why Michelle brought her casting crew to Milwaukee, Wisconsin on a 9 city tour looking for who could potentially be " America's Next Top Model "

1. Explain why you look for talent in cities such as Milwaukee for modeling talent ?

I have seen plenty of star potential here in Milwaukee and surrounding cities. This is an open call for everyone to come out and show our crew what they can offer. We want and expect as many local girls as possible to come out so that is why we want to go everywhere, to find that diamond in the rough !

For you to model and come up in the business, being out and ready at all times is essential as stated above. With the standards of having to be at least 5'7 and between the ages of 18-27, you are either cut out, or not cut out for specific auditions, but always being ready for that call, that break, that chance, you must always be in the public's eye, ready and willing to sacrifice a little free time to make it ! One thing I did learn from the short time I was watching Michelle and her crew run in and out of the club, was that she really spent a lot of time analyzing the surroundings, the women auditioning, and listening to conversations as she walked in and out. I learned that she was paying attention to the personalities that were common of the girls when they weren't being interviewed, like how they naturally act verses how they might act in an interview setting. With this known, always be yourself and be ready for that break..... you never know who's watching and listening ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Michelle's crew was also written up in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel on Thursday, July 8th, 2004 with a story that foreshadows the above mentioned. This is a really good example of how the word can get out to the masses, however, being ready for the opportunity to model starts now with how you present yourself in public, how you carry yourself, and how much you are out in the public's eye !
